HCL Insys revenue rise by 15%

NEW DELHI: HCL Infosystems Ltd (HCL Insys) has reported a turnover of Rs 271.8 crore during the quarter ended December 31, 2001 against Rs 235.5 crore in the quarter ending September 2001. The profit before tax is reported at Rs 15.4 crore as against Rs 14.1 crore in the quarter ending September 2001, a growth of 9 per cent. The EBITDA for the quarter is reported at Rs 18.8 crore.

The turnover of the company during the previous year ended June 30, 2001 was Rs 1,162.3 crore and the PAT reported was Rs 58.4 crore.



In the overseas market, the company saw success coming in from new projects as well as from existing customers. Another interesting trend observed was that of the growing shift towards managed-projects, which are being executed from HCL Insys' existing software development. The Company has recently bagged some major orders from Singapore, in the System Integration area, with significant service component.

In the US market the company is working with multitude of clients like a Fortune 500 conglomerate engaged in apparel manufacturing, a leading integrated recruiting solutions & talent relationship management systems provider.

HCL InfiNet, the Internet subsidiary of the company, forayed into the call center business and launched its first technical call center. The call center caters to both domestic as well as international clients and provides high-end technical support to clients. The company has, in a short time, bagged several projects from clients overseas.
