HCL Infosystems Q2 net at Rs 30 cr

NEW DELHI: HCL Infosystems Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 30.04 crore for the second quarter ended December 31, 2003 as compared to a profit of Rs 2.82 crore reported during the same quarter last year.



Consolidated revenue for the group increased to Rs 1042.9 crore during the quarter ended December 31, 2003 as against Rs 625.5 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, an increase of 66 percent. Profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter stood at Rs 41.4 crore, against a net loss of Rs 19 lakh in the last year quarter.



The company has reported consolidated revenue of Rs 1,899 crore and PAT at Rs 73.8 crore during the half-year ended December 31, 2003.

Continuing the practice of quarterly dividends, the Board of Directors has declared a second interim dividend of 50 percent. For the year ended June 30, 2003 the company had declared a final dividend of 100 percent.



Announcing the results, HCL Infosystems Ltd chairman and CEO, Ajai Chowdhry said, "the results bear testimony to the consumers increasing confidence in HCL Infosystems to meet their diverse IT needs.
