HCL Infosystems posts Rs 597.4 cr turnover

NEW DELHI: HCL Infosystems has reported a turnover of Rs 597.4 crore as against Rs 271.9 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Profit before tax & impairment of assets is reported at Rs 32.0 crore as against Rs 15.4 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, a growth of 109 percent. Consolidated revenue for the quarter is reported at Rs 624.5 crore. Consolidated services revenue is reported at Rs 73.5 crore.

Computer systems segment revenue stood at Rs 238.1 crore as against Rs 204.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, a growth of 16 percent. Profit before interest and taxes stood at Rs 25.8 crore as against Rs 13.2 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, a growth of 95 percent. Office automation & telecommunication segment revenue is Rs 347.3 crore as against Rs 49.4 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, a growth of 604 percent.

Profit before interest and taxes stood at Rs 12.3 crore as against Rs 2.5 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, a growth of 391 percent. As stated in the results of the preceding quarter, the company has reviewed its internal norms for recognition of impairment in the value of its various current assets, and consequently a sum of Rs 30.2 crore has been charged off against the results of the current quarter.
