NEW DELHI: Indian infotech firm, HCL Infosystems announced on Tuesday that
its Singapore unit had bagged an S $2.7-million order from Singapore's
Commercial & Industrial Security Corp (CISCO) for an enterprise-wide
resource planning system.
In a statement, the computer hardware and networking services firm said its
Singapore arm, FEC Infosystems, had received the order despite stiff competition
from leading multinational consultants. "For FEC Infosystems, this is the
third major SAP implementation contract in its first year, as the national
implementation partner of SAP in Singapore," the statement said.
FEC Infosystems will implement the project for CISCO in 12 months and
integrate an artificial intelligence system for its guard and vehicle-scheduling
module, the release said. HCL Infosystems shares were up 7.66 per cent at Rs
228.30 in afternoon trade on the Bombay exchange while the 30-share benchmark
index was down 1.01 per cent at 4,361.84 points.
