HCL Info Q4 net jumps 167%

MUMBAI: HCL Infosystems Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 23.47 crore for the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2003, up 167 per cent compared to Rs 8.79 crore for the same quarter last year. Meanwhile, its total income has decreased from Rs 403.11 crore in the June quarter, 2002 to Rs 311.76 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2003.






The company has posted a net profit of Rs 61.73 crore for the year ended June 30, 2003, up 33.81 per cent as compared to Rs 46.13 crore last year. Total income has also increased to Rs 1666.04 crore in the financial year ended June 30, 2003, from Rs. 1270.03 crore in 2002.





On a consolidated basis, the group has posted a net profit of Rs 92.65 crore for the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2003, up 503.19 per cent, as compared to Rs 15.36 crore for the corresponding quarter last fiscal. Total income has increased from Rs 1376.05 crore in the June quarter in 2002 to Rs 2722.24 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2003.





Shares of HCL Infosystems were quoting at Rs 218.90, up 0.34 per cent on the BSE. The scrip has hit an intra day high of Rs 230.90 at the BSE.





The company’s board of directors have recommended a 100 per cent dividend on the paid up equity share capital of the company for the financial year ended June 30, 2003.
