NEW DELHI: HCL Infosystems Ltd., an Indian information enabling company, has
announced the launch of the latest Infiniti Global Line 1400 Server
incorporating the next generation Intel Pentium 4 Processor. The company is the
first in the country to ship the latest Pentium 4 powered servers and make them
available on an immediate basis to its customers.
The Infiniti Global Line servers are targeted at Corporate, Small &
Medium Enterprises, Education, banking & insurance. HCL Infosystems Ltd.
will market these next generation servers through its extensive network.
The Infiniti Global Line Server is a high performance single P4 server, which
is loaded with fast memory storage subsystem and enables a quick net connection.
Configuration of the Infiniti Global Line 1400 server is Intel Pentium 4, 1.7
GHz or higher processor, 256 cache and support for future P4 processor with 512K
cache. These high performance servers, besides being scalable, are quite
versatile and can be used for a number of applications like front-end
application servers, web servers, messaging and proxy servers.
HCL Infosystems vice president, marketing George Paul said, "HCL has
always been at the forefront of technology and has endeavored to offer the very
latest to the Indian consumers on a real time basis. We launched the first
desktop PC in India; we introduced the PC with a below-Rs 20,000-price range and
have very recently launched the P4 desktop at the sub 40,000 price. I am glad
that we have upheld that tradition even today by being the first company to
launch the P4 servers."
