HCL employee commits suicide

NOIDA, INDIA: A senior network analyst of the leading IT firm Hindustan Computers Limited (HCL) committed suicide on Wednesday after jumping from the fifth floor of a building in sector 126 here, police said.

The deceased was identified as Bikash Kumar Sharma (26), hailing from Bihar. Sharma had joined the firm on January 1 this year and was living with a cousin in Delhi's Katwaria Sarai area, as per media reports.

Though he was officially off on Wednesday, he decided to report for the duty. The company cab had brought Sharma to the office around 4.30 am. Sources said that Sharma jumped from the 5th floor of the building around 5.50am.

He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The police have registered a case and staff members and relatives are being questioned.
