HCL director Ajai Chowdhry steps down

NEW DELHI, INDIA: In line with the preplanned transition, HCL Infosystem said that its co-founder Ajai Chowdhry has decided to step down from the position of director of the company.

Chowdhry will continue to be a non-executive chairman of the board of the HCL Infosystems. The company had earlier in October 2010 appointed Harsh Chitale as its chief executive officer.

“Ajai Chowdhry has decided to now step down from the position of whole-time director of the company with effect from March 31, 2012," the company said in a statement to the BSE.
