HCL awarded Bergstrom contract

NEW DELHI, INDIA: HCL Technologies Ltd has been awarded a new multi-year, multi-location, multi-faceted contract with Bergstrom Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of climate systems to the commercial vehicle industry.

Under the terms of this three-year contract, HCL will provide engineering change management, value engineering, next generation product design and computer aided engineering (CAE) analysis for Bergstrom’s Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products.

“Our partnership with Bergstrom demonstrates our deep engineering expertise specific to HVAC and mechanical systems,” explained Sandeep Kishore, SVP and Head of Hi-Tech and Manufacturing at HCL Technologies. “Bergstrom was also looking to expand into new markets, including India and our understanding of products required for the emerging markets like India and capabilities in designing cost-effective products was very helpful to them.”

HCL will leverage its next-generation HVAC R&D Lab and Workshop in Bangalore, India, to provide Bergstrom with new features development for the company’s existing product portfolio. The engagement will later expand to support next generation product design as well.  Similar services will be provided to Bergstrom’s UK operations.
