CHANDIGARH, INDIA: Haryana is the first state in the country where all instructions of the finance department have been compiled or computerised, chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said on Tuesday.

“It has compiled all the instructions from time to time on various subjects right from 1947 onwards and prepared a unique set of 17 compendia of instructions,” Hooda said while releasing the compendia here.

Joint secretary-Finance Kusum Bansal said that now people will not have to face any problem to get a copy of any instruction or notification of the finance department because copies of all the instructions are now available on its website — www.finhry.gov.in.

“The image of original copy from 1947 to November 2011 is also available on the website which might be downloaded by anyone as and when needed,” she said.

Bansal said these compendia would be helpful for all officers or officials of the Haryana government to examine cases properly and promptly in accordance with provision in rules or instructions.

“This will also help in reducing litigation, audit objections and also the number of applications under RTI (Right to Information) Act. These compendia are priced publications and might be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department of Haryana,” she added.
