Hariyali Kisaan Bazaar partners with SAP

BANGALORE: Hariyali Kisaan Bazaar (Hariyali) the country's first rural retail initiative by DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd. (DSCL) has partnered with software solution providers SAP and Polaris to create a unique IT platform.

The initiative, named Project e-STARR (Systems & Technology in Agri & Rural Retail) offers a retail solution which would help Hariyali serve the rural customers better, while creating a strong infrastructure for operations spread over multiple locations.

SAP's solution IS- Retail & SAP Retail Store was implemented by Polaris, who integrated it with the Polaris POS and Agri Service Module.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Shriram, said "DSCL has been at the forefront of adopting IT for business benefit and improving customer satisfaction, and we believe that adoption of this technology by Hariyali Kisaan Bazaar would will further allow benefits of technology and innovation to percolate into the rural sectors as well."
