Harbinger in expansion mode

PUNE: Harbinger group today announced its expansion and investment plans for the year 2006.

This announcement comes in the wake of rapid growth in the company's customer base in 20 countries, growing revenue and expanding global channel network.

Addressing a press conference Vikas Joshi, chairman and MD, Harbinger, said that the company has launched Rapidity, yet another innovative software product out of India, which allows users to build interactive e—learning content, which enhances learner involvement, making learning experience more memorable.

He also announced that the company plans to grow its headcount from its current 175 to 300 within the year through recruitments in various posts with more importance to the global product marketing.

Further he added that the company has procured land to build their own 25,000 sq. ft additional facility. The proposed facility will come up in two phases. The first phase will be ready by 2006-end and will house the development center.

The second phase of the expansion will follow immediately and will be operational in 2007.
