LAS VEGAS, USA: Heatsoft Corporation has released Handy File Tool 1.04, a free Windows file manager that helps to automate file search, file renaming and replacing text in files according to variety of user-specified parameters. Handy File Tool includes a text replacement utility (Replacer), a file renaming tool with preview (Renamer) and a file search tool (Finder).

In addition, the program provides quick access to all PC drives from the toolbar and offers a handy Basket feature, that allows to collect files from multiple locations for later processing with any of the included tools.Handy File Tool has a dual-pane file browser which can examine multiple paths or drives, even across a network and supports copy, move and delete operations for files and folders. The Finder tool allows to search files by file mask, date, file size and attributes. A user can put search results into the Basket to perform batch replacing or renaming.

The Replacer utility allows the user to find and delete blocks of text, insert text blocks at the beginning or end of a file, and insert text before, after or between blocks of text. The tool can also find and replace text blocks for files in the Basket. User can save and restore the Basket contents for quick reference in the future.

The Renamer tool helps rename multiple types of files quickly and easily, and include many different customizable options. The renaming preview ability allows to control the way how the tool is going to rename files.
