The company's 2013 graduate scheme, run in association with Discovery Graduates, attracted over 3,000 applications for just six positions, more than double the amount m-hance received for its inaugural graduate scheme last year.

m-hance's latest graduate hires: Sara Haycock, Steven Macdonald, Paul Scott, Marcus McNeilly, Jack Powell, and Collette Jones will be based at m-hance's headquarters in Stockport.

In total, m-hance received 3,367 applications for its positions within the areas of marketing, (1551) PR (962), consultancy (453) and market development (401). The new employees will receive ongoing support as part of Discovery's OPEN Programme and have the opportunity to study for an ILM Accreditation in Business Leadership and Management.

m-hance's commitment to providing opportunities to young professionals comes at a time when many graduates in the UK face uncertain futures.

In August this year, a survey conducted by The Higher Education Statistics Agency revealed that 20 percent of graduates were still unemployed six months after graduating, with 17 percent continuing in further education, adding debts in excess of £30,000 with no guarantee of immediate employment on the other side.
