HackerRank raises $30M in Series C funding round

Coding and recruitment platform HackerRank has raised about $30 million in Series C funding round, led by JMI Equity. Existing investors including Khosla Ventures, Battery Ventures, Randstad Innovation Fund and Chartline Capital Ventures also participated in the funding round.

HackerRank will use the capital to accelerate its growth in the enterprise, expand and support its growing community of more than 3.4 million developers and advance its data science research and development.

Suken Vakil, General Partner, JMI Equity, said, “We see a massive opportunity in HackerRank. Over 10% of the world’s population of software developers and over a thousand companies use HackerRank. We look forward to helping the HackerRank team scale their efforts in transforming the way companies evaluate and hire the right developers.” As a part of the deal, Suken Vakil, General Partner at JMI Equity will join HackerRank’s Board of Directors.

HackerRank, founded in 2010 by Harishankaran K and Vivek Ravishankar is a platform that helps businesses evaluate software developers based on skill.
