H1N1 vaccine moves Upp in Illinois

DOWNERS GROVE, ILLINOIS, US: The Maryland Department of Health has selected Upp Technology, Inc. to help improve the efficiency of their emergency operations.

In addition to managing the states inventory and local stockpiles, the solution will also provide the ability to receive, stage, and distribute Strategic National Stockpile (SNS), Federal Managed inventories, and H1N1 vaccine and antivirals to the existing State POD network.

Upp, a provider of public health solutions, will provide a centralized inventory management solution, to manage the State of Maryland’s healthcare inventory across all 24 of the local health departments and their associated Points of Dispensing (POD).

The solution will enable Maryland to view and control a centralized, single-view, of all inventory levels, status, and location in real-time, as well as, manage inventory replenishments, says the press note.
