MUMBAI: GurukulOnline Learning Solutions (GOLS) is planning to take e-learning to the grass root level in Maharashtra. In this attempt, GOLS has made a strategic advancement by signing up with Maharashtra Industrial and Technical Consultancy Services Ltd. (MITCON). GOLS would offer its courseware to the students through MITCON's division - e-school that has over 150 centers at interior locales in Maharashtra.

Nilesh Loyalekar, Head, e-learning Center, GOLS said, "India has a vast populace of untapped potential. IT has indeed placed India on the world map, yet it needs to percolate further down to the masses. In this bid, we have embarked on this alliance to exhibit the power of e-learning and Virtual Classrooms to students from far-flung areas. We are very focused in our efforts to make e-learning available for all at anytime, anywhere and most importantly anyplace."

The centers are widespread which include places like Radha Nagri, Parbhani, Latur, Phaltan, Sangli, Kolapur, Ratnagiri, among others. The online courseware content would be provided by GOLS and the same can be easily downloaded and accessed by students from any of the e-schools through the Internet.

The student merely needs to enroll by paying the fee at the e-school. On enrollment the student simply downloads the requisite courseware and can study live through the Internet. The student does not have to pay any additional Internet charges. The other highlight is that students would also be tested online, through GOLS' Online Examination Solution.

Students would also receive a joint certification from both the companies. The courseware offered would include System Software courses and soft skill courses that consists of Visual Basics, C, Programming, Networking and Conflict Management, prices starting from Rs 300. Currently the registered student base ranges between 7,000 to 8,000 students at MITCON's 150 e-school centers.
