GTL eyes half-a-lakh telecom towers in three years

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Telecom infrastructure company GTL is planning to take its total cell sites to 50,000 by 2013, says an agency report. At present, GTL has around 11,500 towers.

GTL recently acquired 17,500 towers from Aircel, taking its base to 33,000.

Vikas Arora, senior VP, GTL, said: “We plan to have a portfolio of 50,000 towers by fiscal 2013."
