SHELTON, USA: SyferLock Technology Corporation announced the availability of its superior GridSoftToken two-factor authentication solution for use on the BlackBerry mobile platform. In addition to 2-factor device authentication, it delivers a much higher level of user authentication.

With SyferLock's GridSoftToken, the one-time password is not presented to the user "in the clear". Only the authorized user who has knowledge of the pre-selected PIN and target position can generate the one-time password, or GridCode, required for secure log-in using SyferLock's patented methodology.

With traditional soft tokens, anyone possessing access to the computer or device can read and then input the code for authentication. Lost devices and attempts for unauthorized computer use are further protected by this unique aspect of SyferLock's GridSoftToken.

"GridSoftToken provides superior two-factor authentication without the user needing to carry any additional hardware or devices. SyferLock's patented software-based authentication solutions provide a secure, cost-effective alternative to hard tokens and other authentication solutions," said Chris Cardell, CEO of SyferLock.

SyferLock's software-based solutions deliver two-factor and multi-factor authentication utilizing patented software-based grids to convert static passwords/PINs into secure one-time passwords or PINs ("OTPs"). SyferLock's solutions provide device-less OTPs, offering a simple, more secure way to access information while leveraging existing passwords and password infrastructure.

SyferLock's flexible, adaptable solutions enable enterprises to cost-effectively address strong authentication / two-factor authentication across a range of use cases and with a range of platforms. SyferLock's flexible methodology is easy to deploy, is user friendly and is available in a High-Availability (HA) cluster.

SyferLock's GridSoftToken solution is now available for deployment from BlackBerry World.
