Graphite Software announces general availability of Secure Spaces 1.0

OTTAWA, CANADA: Graphite Software Corporation announced the general availability of Secure Spaces 1.0, their flagship software providing an integrated, secure solution for Android users to maintain separate personal and professional mobile user profiles.

Secure Spaces simultaneously addresses the data security and management needs of the Corporate IT department for personally owned devices (BYOD) and the device owners need for privacy, flexibility, convenience and choice, overcoming the limitations of current products on the market.

Secure Spaces is built directly into the operating system of Android devices, providing a native Android user interface (UI) and necessary evolution in security only achieved by an embedded solution. This provides an easy-to-use segmentation of mobile data into spaces for personal and work use that is light, fast and easy to manage for both the consumer and the enterprise.

As an Android-level virtualization solution, Secure Spaces does not suffer the security weaknesses and app customization requirements of application container approaches, nor is there the integration and performance overhead of launching multiple operating system copies with virtual machine (VM) approaches.

Secure Spaces is mobile device management (MDM)-agnostic, providing a flexible solution that supports delegation of work space management to corporate IT or MDM resources, while also providing consumers complete control of their personal mobile profiles and data.
