NEW DELHI: Grapecity is developing a CRM product at its development center in Noida targeted at SMEs, which will be launched by the end of this year. The product, which is in the final stages of development, is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 5 lakh-Rs 8 lakh. It would be meant for 10-12 users or so, said Navin Parthi, Head of Sales at Grapecity India. The product would help enterprises track and manage its sales force online.

The development center at Okhla was set up way back in 1996 with the current employee base at 55. However, this would be the first product development initiative of the company from India. Grapecity formally known as Bunka Orient has been focussed on providing high-end CRM solutions and in providing component development tools. Its high-end CRM solution is from Pivotal for which Grapecity has an exclusive alliance with the company.

In India, its major customer base has been banks and FIs, Insurance, Pharma and call centers for its CRM solutions and software development companies for its component tools. Among pharma, its client list includes the likes of Smith Kline Beecham and Ranbaxy. According to the company, there are signs of economic recovery with more software companies asking for component tools. Said Parthi, "We have seen good demand during this quarter compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal indicative of more development projects which companies would have bagged."
