Govt's digital initiative to track missing children sees success!

The recently launched web portal, ‘Khoya-Paya’ which facilitates sharing information of missing children has been able to close 140 cases of missing children

NEW DELHI, INDIA:The government digital initiative to track and find the missing children has paid off well.

Within two-months period, it has been able to close 140 cases of missing children from around 1500 cases of missing/sighted children that got registered in the new web portal, ‘Khoya-Paya’, said Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Maneka Sanjay Gandhi.

Khoya-Paya is an initiative by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, with the assistance of Department of Electronics and Information Technology(DEITY), for reporting and searching of missing children.

The site got launched in June 2. Around 2700 users have registered on the portal so far. The Khoya Paya mobile apps also saw around 1500 download.
