Govt. of Mizoram imparts e-governance training to its officers

MIZORAM, INDIA: After having initiated the training programme on ‘eGovernance' for the government officers in Mizoram, the state has very soon moved up to the next level of imparting special training for officers under Mizoram government.

The Specialized Training on e-Governance Programme (STeP) took place in Aizwal yesterday. It is organised jointly by the state's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department and the National Institute of Smart Government (NISG), Hyderabad.

The STeP will focus on understanding the business model and the public private partnership (PPP) model.

"The initiative taken by ICT is carried out in the fastest manner. In order to provide broader and faster connectivity in different parts of Mizoram, ICT has also recently made an agreement with the Central Government. STeP is also being carried out through Capacity building programme under Department of Electronics & IT, Govt. of India," ICT's Principal Secretary Dr. S.S Garbyal, IFS.

Inorder to carry out different projects successfully, the state government of Mizoram will train its government officers. Training on Project Management and Government Process Re-Engineering (GPR) has already been imparted.
