CIOL- Google's upcoming Pixel XL may sport a squeezable frame

As rumor mills keep buzzing with regard to Google Pixel XL, a new report from Android Police claims that the Pixel's next iteration may be a curious mix of LG G6 and HTC U11.

While the original Pixel design is expected to stay, there may be some noticeable changes like the absence of visible antenna band, a smaller glass portion at the back, and a trimmed down bezel.

Citing reliable sources, the report adds that the new smartphone, codenamed 'Taimen' may pack a six-inch AMOLED screen with a 2:1 ratio display like the LG G6, and there could also be squeezable sides as a means of added controls, à la the Edge Sense feature found in the HTC U11. There would be the use of 3D glass on the sides, although the display itself would be flat.

Additionally, it would have larger rear camera section(no dual cameras).

As per the previous leaks, the new Pixel would be sporting a 1440p screen resolution, a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM and at least one variant with 128GB of storage.

Google is also expected to do away with 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of stereo speakers.

Many lamented the fact that the 2016 Pixel aged pretty quickly from a visual perspective, and the large bezels and slightly chunky design made them look a little less than ultra-premium. Google should not be having that problem this time around.
