Google updates Google docs app for Android

BANGALORE, INDIA: Search engine giant Google has released an updated version of Google docs app for Android devices.

With the recent update, Android users with an Internet connection can collaborate on documents in Google Docs from Android platform to be more productive.

Changes made by the users will appear in real time as they are made.

"We want to give everyone the chance to be productive no matter where they are, so today we're releasing a new update to the Google Docs app for Android," said Vadim Gerasimov, software engineer at Google in a blog post.

Vadim further added that they have brought the collaborative experience from Google Docs on the desktop to Android device to see updates in real time as others type on their computers, tablets and phones.

"We also updated the interface to make it easier to work with your documents on the go," Vadim added.

With the new update to the Android app, users can pinch to zoom and focus on a specific paragraph or see the whole document at a glance.

The app also allows users to do rich text formatting to do things like create a quick bullet list, add color to documents, or just bold something important.
