Google release mobile version of Docs

BANGALORE, INDIA: Google on Thursday announce the release of a mobile version of the Google Docs viewer for Android, iPhone and iPad.

Recently, Google had announced the Google Docs viewer support for .doc and .docx formats.

The mobile version would enable users of mobile platforms to view PDFs, .ppt, .doc and .docx files, without downloading it.

“With our mobile viewer you can switch quickly between pages and pan/zoom within a page. On your iPhone and iPad, you can pinch to zoom in or out,” said a blog post by Mickey Kataria, Software Engineer, in the Google Docs website.
