BANGALORE, INDIA: If you love reading books on your smartphone, but are tired due to the small font size, here's some news that could cheer you up. Google has released a new version of Google Play Books for Android that brings interesting features to the table.

The app will now read books to users on its own. Called "read aloud," the feature works with most text-heavy ebooks, and works without needing any special resources on the part of the ebook itself, reports The Verge.

Users also have the option to un-check automatically 'read aloud' if their books automatically read aloud whenever opened. Other interesting features are the double-tap-to-zoom and pinch-to-zoom, which enables users to handle the ebooks with greater ease.
