Google has partnered with Singapore-headquartered cloud telephony firm Knowlarity to expand its speech recognition and analytics services in India. The tech giant expects its artificial intelligence-based speech analytics platform to take off among enterprises in various sectors. This further includes hospitality, banking and financial services sectors in the country.

Knowlarity offers AI-based cloud telephony services. It has also moved its services to Google Cloud. The company has stepped into speech to text services. These services will help enterprises to capture customers’ sentiments and will also generate alerts in real-time. “Speech Analytics is the platform that enables to build a dynamic platform aiming to analyse sentiments from audio (such as phone calls) or video recordings…!”, read its LinkedIn post.

About the platform

The platform built with Google Cloud Programmable Speech Analytics. It is a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) software. It has a quick processing time and high accuracy. Apart from this, the software does not need any additional deployment. Thus, it can analyse and convert 125 languages. It can extract speech recognition results in real-time and can also be adapted to a specific industry by feeding it with unique and industry-specific words.

“We are at the start of the journey by offering customers both Google and our capabilities. Lots of enterprises are interested,” said Yatish Mehrotra, CEO of Knowlarity Communications. “For any tech adoption at a mass scale, there are two factors: the value-add it does and the price at which it comes. We can offer both.”

The platform offers real-time transcription of audio and video calls. Further, it analyses conversational etiquette like talk-to-listen ratio and speech ratio and helps companies improve their offerings, he said.

“The core is the intelligent speech analytics, including sentiment analytics that they can do and capture trends of every agent level conversations. The impact Knowlarity will create in the market is to reach thousands of their customers,” Google Cloud India Managing Director Karan Bajwa said.
