Google LG Nexus 4 to be launched in India only in January?

BANGALORE, INDIA: Gadget freaks in India, waiting eagerly for the new Google LG Nexus 4 smartphone, may face a wee bit of disappointment. The smartphone, which has been listed on few online retail websites, may not be launched in India until January 2013.

According to online retail website saholic.com, LG Nexus 4 will be available by January 15, 2013. The website has no mention of the price of the smartphone. According to some media reports, LG Nexus 4 was expected to be available in India by November 30. Also, a report on the website Tech2 says ''Our sources within LG have informed us that LG has not finalised the launch date of Google's flagship smartphone in India.''

The LG Nexus 4 has been listed even on eBay India, but the prices of the smartphone have been increased on the online retail website. eBay India is now quoting a price of Rs. 29,990 for the 16GB version of LG Nexus 4, which was earlier stated to be priced at Rs. 27,490, while price of the 8GB version has been increased from Rs. 23,490 to 25,990. The website mentions that consumers who have ordered the smartphone fron November 14 onwards can expect the product from December 15 to 25.

Some of the features of the LG Nexus 4 are 4.7 inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 8MP main camera and 1.3MP front camera, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 2GB RAM, and so on.
