Google launches new forms of payment

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Google announced the widening of its bouquet of payment options for the AdWords advertising program in India. Advertisers will now have the power to choose from among a range of payment options to create their Google AdWords account. 

The new options of payment by cheque, demand draft and net banking offer advertisers more flexibility and convenience and bring a whole new dimension to online advertising and e-commerce in India.

“We hope that more Indian advertisers will be able to grow their business through Ad-Words by recognizing that Indian businesses prefer to to conduct transactions not only by credit cards but also by cheque and electronic funds transfer,’’ said Shailesh Rao, MD, Google India. 

SMEs can pay for their Ad-Words account by cheque or demand draft, just as easily as they would make payments for electricity, mobile and cable bills. 

The other form of payment being launched is electronic transfer of funds from a users bank account to their Ad-Words account.
