Good results boost Mascot scrip

BANGALORE: Shares of Bangalore-based IT services firm Mascot Systems spurted 8.05 per cent to Rs 104.65 at the BSE, after the company announced higher quarterly and yearly numbers.






The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 10.26 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2003 as compared to Rs 7.79 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2002. The company’s s consolidated total income has increased from Rs 90.68 crore in the March quarter of 2002 to Rs 143.76 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2003.





The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 28.37 crore for the year ended March 31, 2003 as compared to Rs 45.34 crore in the year ended March 31, 2002. Meanwhile the consolidated total income increased from Rs 417.99 crore in FY02 to Rs 430.94 crore in FY03.





The board has recommended a dividend of 40 per cent amounting to Rs 4.34 crore (excluding dividend tax of Rs 0.55 crore).
