KOLKATA: Godrej & Boyce Mfg. co are opening a group of print shops that

will deliver digital printing solutions. The solutions will vary from copying,

printing, documenting and imaging among others including some value added

services to customers.

A total communications business, these shops would have a nation wide link

that would serve customers and provide them solutions irrespective of

geographical or time barriers. The Print Shops would be based on the franchisee

model where each shop would require an investment ranging between Rs 25 lakh to

Rs 60 lakh. The concept already popular in the West has had immense success in

Colombo with 42 shops spread across the city within a year.

The company plans to set up six print shops in the eastern region and a total

of 35 countrywide within this fiscal. Godrej would provide the training, the

layout and all support promotion for each of these franchisees. By the end of

three years Godrej intends to set up 2,000 Print Shops across the country.
