Globecomm bags $1.6 mn deal

HAUPPAUGE, NEW YORK: Globecomm Systems Inc.. a provider of communications solutions and services, announced that the Company has received a network infrastructure contract from a major United States broadcaster valued at $1.6 million.

Globecomm has worked closely with this customer for many years building out and supporting their content distribution network with a reach that spans across millions of end-user customers, a press release adds.

Globecomm will upgrade the antenna infrastructure and related subsystems and anticipates completion of the project in the Company’s current fiscal year ending June 30, 2012.
