Global Trust Bank Ltd launched its Internet
banking services yesterday. According to Executive Vice President P.C.
Narayan beginning October end, demat trading of Global scrips will also be
possible. The customers can see their demat account statement of holdings
for each scrip, statement of transactions, etc. When it is allowed, the
customers will also be able to post buy and sell instructions, without the
need to go through the broker.
In addition to this service, the regular retail banking and corporate
banking services is also available, as is also utility bill payment.
Narayan stated that GTB introduced Internet-banking services to meet the
demands of its customers, primarily software professionals and that other
forms of bill payments will be available as the need arises. These
services are free of cost and is for subscribers.
