Global telephony firm opens India center

NEW DELHI: Veraz Networks, global provider of carrier-grade next-generation telephony solutions, has announced the opening of its India Center to build closer relationships with leading service providers and system integrators throughout India and to provide development and customization of next generation services for this market.

According to the company release, due to the rapidly expanding market in India for high-quality, cost-effective telephony services, Veraz Networks has expanded its activity here and is leveraging its next generation network solutions to serve the increasing demand. By opening the India Center in Pune and working closely with system integrators, Veraz claims that it can deliver to India's incumbent and emerging carriers the high level service that it delivers to its customers around the world.

"There are many carriers in India that are rapidly increasing services throughout the country as well as pioneering broadband access and multimedia services," said CEO, Veraz Tal Simchony. "We see this as a great opportunity for Veraz to contribute to this new, emerging market by leveraging the rich talent here to help us generate new NGN services, which will address the needs of the Indian and global markets," he added.



"The center has staff already in place, which will triple to 30 people in the next few months," said VP of Engineering and Professional Services for Veraz Vijay Nadkarni. "The new center provides a great opportunity for Veraz to work closely with local partners to bring Veraz's top quality next-generation VoIP products, services and customer care to the growing India market," he added.
