Global Consultants is now Collabera

BANGALORE, INDIA: Global Consultants, Inc., providers of IT services and business solutions worldwide has announced the change of its company name to Collabera. The name change reflects a new company era as evidenced by the huge surge in worldwide growth that can be tied to its global delivery model, investments into various competencies and domain-based services to provide accelerated value, recent acquisitions of IVL India (for SAP Services) and Blue Hammock (for Strategic Consulting) and the appointment of Dominick Cavuoto early last year as Chief Executive Officer. The name change also reflects the spirit of true collaboration and partnership that the company has embodied in its relationships with its customers, employees, partners, suppliers, affiliates and investors.

“Through the past 16 years, our brand has accurately reflected what we did. However, over time, our capabilities and services grew but the brand remained the same. We wanted to create a powerful company brand that could reflect our collaborative and value-based approach while we could continue to build upon and further differentiate us in a crowded global marketplace,” said Dominick Cavuoto, chief executive officer of Collabera. He further added “While we still have top notch consultants worldwide and continue development in that arena, we also have burgeoning practice areas that are very much the province of Collabera and are committed to excellent client service.” 

Along with its name change Collabera today also announced an expansion of its operations in India with the opening of an additional facility, in Bangalore. Currently Collabera has its offices in Bangalore, Baroda, Trivandrum and Mumbai with a total employee base touching 1500. “The existing four facilities will enable Collabera to expand significantly in the region, provide better support to our rapidly growing customer base and will further enhance our ability to attract an increasing number of talented engineers who will play a key role in driving our business in India” said Mr.Jawahar Bekay, Chief Strategy Officer and MD – India, Collabera.
