Gitex brings 'Computer Shopper' to India

HYDERABAD: Organizers, Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) has announced that the third edition of Gitex Hyderabad, will feature a retail component called Gitex Computer Shopper. The event is scheduled to take place at the Hitex International Exhibition Center from January 12 to January 14, 2004 in Hyderabad.







"We are introducing the Gitex Computer Shopper concept at the Hyderabad edition for the first time and will offer exhibitors an opportunity to feature deals on a wide selection of computer hardware, software, peripherals, telecommunication products and multi-media options," said DWTC exhibitions, leasing and operations GM Abdulla T Qassem.







Qassem noted that leading ICT companies have indicated strong enthusiasm in Gitex Hyderabad 2004 with big names based in India as well as international exhibitors from the Middle East, USA and the Far East.







"The response from the exhibitors has prompted us to include retailers in our exhibitor profile and enable them to reach out to the visitors and the main focus of the exhibition will continue to remain B2B largely for trade professionals, however, consumers looking to purchase computer equipment and electronic gadgetry can do so at Gitex Hyderabad," stated Qassem.







The release added that Computer Shopper Hyderabad would put on display a vast range of first-class consumer options to excite the public's appetite for the newest IT products available in the region. "We are hoping the three-day event will turn HITEX into an ideal venue for vendors to reach consumers keen to own the newest products in the information technology sector with deals in hardware, software, office equipment, computer accessories or the newest in audio, video and electronic equipment," Qassem remarked.
