Gita Gupta joins Agitar as VP mkt

BANGALORE: Agitar Software has announced the appointment of Gita Gupta as vice president of marketing who will be reporting to CEO Jerry Rudisin.

Gupta brings more than 14 years of enterprise software marketing experience from Oracle, PeopleSoft and SAP in technology, product and field marketing.

Rudisin, CEO of Agitar, said, "Gita understands the software business and the requirements of the Global 2000 IT organizations. She brings world-class marketing expertise and leadership ability to Agitar as we focus on the next phase of our growth."

Gupta has broad experience in product strategy, positioning, go-to-market planning and execution. After six years at Oracle, focused on database technology and analytics, she spent five years at Vantive and PeopleSoft, in product management and marketing for CRM solutions and core technology. Following PeopleSoft, Gupta spent over three years at SAP, where she held a number of senior management roles focused on solution strategy, go-to-market planning and execution. Most recently, Gupta served as vice president of global field marketing at SAP, where she led the team focused on field marketing for strategic new products, including Duet, SAP xApps Analytics and SAP CRM on-demand solutions.
