Now in its third year, CODE_n is internationally esteemed as a global innovation platform, fostering innovation by combining the agility and fresh spirit of young entrepreneurs with the network and experience from leading companies. In its first three editions, more than 1,000 startups applied to the CODE_n contest. For this year's CODE_n, GFT is joined again by EY and CeBIT as global partners.

On Tuesday 18th February at EY's London offices, Ulrich Dietz, GFT's CEO and initiator of CODE_n, will be joined by avant-garde designer, Clemens Weisshaar, EY's Rob Toguri and the UK finalists to provide a preview of CODE_n. The UK finalists are big data startups Deltasight, EnergyDeck, TvBeat, Massive Analytics, SOMA Analytics and Viewsy who will be battling it out amongst the other 44 finalists onsite at CeBIT for the CODE_n14 Award with prize money amounting to €30.000.

At next week's London preview, Weisshaar will also unveil all the visuals which will provide amazing 50ft backdrops around Hall 16 at CeBIT next month, in a spectacular visualization of CODE_n's theme of big data.

These wall-to-wall installations capture the importance of generating big data to explain history, solve problems and highlight trends. In one of the images, Weisshaar and Kram present a depiction of Google Books data - documenting the most popular narrative and social trends in literature over time, dating from 1800 - 2008.
