Proact delivers a complete solution on the basis of EMC VNX storage systems, including 24x7 support for the hardware and software. GfK has signed a three-year contract. In the first instance, this applies to the GfK branches in Belgium and the Netherlands within the context of the European standardisation strategy at the storage level based on EMC.

Danny Mertens, IT project manager at GfK, said: "Once GfK had globally opted for the EMC storage solutions, a selection procedure was started to find a partner for its implementation. GfK chose Proact because they could offer a total package for our GfK branches in Brussels, Leuven, Dongen, Amstelveen and Hilversum. Working together with the IT departments of the various GfK branches, a completely new and professional storage solution was delivered that makes GfK completely ready for the future!"

Lucas den Os, MD of Proact Netherlands, noted: "Proact prides itself on the provision of best-in-class, innovative products and services with international coverage and local delivery. We are very proud that yet another global player such as GfK has opted for an EMC solution from Proact. We are looking forward to welcoming even more international components of GfK to the Proact group."
