BHOPAL: Got power blues? Not to worry anymore or so goes the story, what with the Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board (MPSEB) setting up a call center to address customer complaints. Call 12660 to the MPSEB call center to register complaints regarding the Bhopal City circle. Consumers with Touchtel or mobile connections can call 2687041.




The central region power distribution company claimed that it would ensure immediate redress of complaints that will be accepted round-the-clock and all year round. Besides, the call center would provide information on new connections and entertain complaints and requests for change in name, load increase or decrease, meter change, repair of power snags, recording meter reading over telephones, and billing. The consumers can also inform the company about power theft.




Consumers of Misrod, Mandideep and Danish Kunj under the operation and maintenance circle can also lodge their complaints in the same numbers. A complaint status number would also be given to consumers to find out the latest on their complaints. The zonal call centers serve a multi-purpose role and have cheque drop boxes for paying power dues. The call center would also provide consumers with a receipt.
