BERLIN: German police arrested an Austrian man on Wednesday suspected of spreading variants of the "I Love You" virus which has damaged computer systems world-wide through e-mails in recent weeks.
Germany's national police agency based in Wiesbaden said the man, 28, confessed to altering codes in the "I Love You" virus which first hit computer systems world-wide on May 4. He signed his e-mail as Antivirus GmbH.
The virus came attached to an e-mail that damaged other computer files. German officials say they have found 50 variants of the "I Love You" virus this month.
