Geometric soln to support Wildfire

MUMBAI: Geometric Software Solutions (Geometric), provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) services and technologies, has announced the immediate availability of eDrawings support for Wildfire.

According to the press release, support for Wildfire is recognized as an important milestone for Geometric and SolidWorks Corporation in extending eDrawings communication software to multiple CAD platforms and making it the standard format in 3D collaboration.

The release further states that the eDrawings for Pro/ENGINEER release has been well received by the Pro/ENGINEER community and adoption is spiraling.

With eDrawings Professional for Pro/ENGINEER, which now supports Wildfire, users can share product designs with review-enabled eDrawings and collaborate with their extended team, receive feedback on product design data from an unlimited number of recipients.

It provides anyone with access to design data with self-extracting eDrawings, examine internal details of parts and assemblies with dynamic cross sectioning, manage, track, and merge comments from different team members.

A subscription license of eDrawings Professional for Pro/ENGINEER with support for Wildfire can be purchased for $995 (with a $195 annual subscription fee after the first year) and is immediately available from Geometric's Web site at http://www.geometricsoftware.com/edrawings/proe. The free eDrawings Viewer and a 30-day trial of eDrawings Professional for Pro/ENGINEER are also available for download from the site.
