Geometric inaugurates 2nd SDC in Pune

PUNE: Geometric Software Solutions Co. Ltd has inaugurated its second software development center situated in the InfoTech Park, Pune. According to the company release, the new structure is a part of Geometric's expansion plans to meet the growing demand of PLM solutions from its partners and industrial customers.



The new center, built with an investment of approximately Rs 20 crore has a total built-up area of about 68,750 sq feet and is constructed over an area of 20,000 sq feet. The center built in the shape of a Pyramid can accommodate 550 professionals and has been completed over a period of one year. Chairman and the Board of Directors, JN Godrej inaugurated the new center.



"The new center will provide a wide range of facilities to the employees of Geometric: A tennis court, basket ball court, larger conference rooms, training rooms, additional parking space, etc. The layout of the workplaces has been made to provide a feel of openness to the developers. We have also built additional server rooms, and lab rooms. Further, a block wise access control system has been designed, which will provide a developer access only to the area designated for the customer he/she serves", said Geometric productivity services, VP, Sandeep Kulkarni.



Kulkarni adds that the, "the pyramidal structure distinguishes Geometric, and affirms our corporate image in the PLM space. Intriguingly, the Pyramid design has several mystic properties which enabled us to use floor to floor differences in interesting ways to provide utilities suited to the space and light available."
