Geometric opens new facility in B’lore

MUMBAI: Geometric Software Solutions Co. Ltd, provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Services, has announced the opening of its new facility in Bangalore. According to the company, the facility will initially house 60 people concentrating on Engineering services. The company claims that this step is a vital one in the strategy to add to its offerings while retaining the PLM focus.

The company release states that the addition of Engineering Services will enable Geometric to offer its partners, who serve industrial markets worldwide, end-to-end PLM solutions. The company plans to initially target its existing customer base in the automotive sector to provide logistical design support and further extend service offerings to the aerospace and consumer durables industry.

The new center will engage domain experts from the auto, aero and related supply industries to provide consulting and design support services. Over a period of time, Geometric will add development capabilities to its Bangalore operations towards making it broad based.

Geometric MD, Manu Parpia said, "our traditional customer base comprises software OEMs in the PLM field. As we expand into the industrial market our customers are demanding we offer a more comprehensive service.
