Geodesic Q3 revenue at Rs 151.85 crore

MUMBAI, INDIA: Geodesic Limited, a provider of content, communication and collaboration solutions has reported revenues of Rs 151.85 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2009.

Profit stood at Rs 62.51 crore for the quarter, while EPS was at Rs 6.78.

The Board of Directors at their meeting held on 29th January 2010, declared an interim dividend at 37.5 per cent (i.e. 75 paise on shares of Rs. 2/- each) on fully paid up equity share capital consisting 92,243,799 equity shares of Rs 2/- each for the year 2009-2010.

The company added 30 new employees to strengthen the product management team, the software engineering department and the marketing department during the last quarter.

G Krishnan – retired IAS officer and ex- chief secretary of Jharkhand, was appointed as an independent Director on the Board of Geodesic Ltd.

In retail segment, the company added around 215,000 new users for Mundu products, while in enterprise space Geodesic subsidiary signed a deal with America Movil, Latin America's mobile carrier with over 180 million subscribers in 18 countries to provide live instant messaging service to its mobile subscribers.
