Genesis named Total Telecom Innovation Award finalist

New Update

COVENTRY, UK: Coventry-based Genesis Technical Systems has been nominated for a prestigious Innovation Award at this year's World Communication Awards 2013 (WCA).

The company's ground-breaking DSL Rings technology has been singled out because of its ability to deliver exceptional broadband speeds over existing copper networks.

The principal annual awards for global telecom operators (telcos) and service providers, the World Communication Awards 2013 will be attended by over 600 leading players in the industry. Genesis is a finalist for the Innovation Award, amongst nominees including big name Telco's AT&T, BT and NTT.

This nomination recognises the innovation behind DSL Rings, which, after five years' Research & Development from Genesis Technical Systems, was launched at the Broadband World Forum in 2012.

DSL Rings is a clever combination of existing standards-based technologies that is a truly disruptive new technology that delivers Superfast Broadband at up to 400 Mb/s, over existing copper telecommunications networks.

DSL Rings requires no planning, no trenching, and no new tools, skills or expertise. It is environmentally and architecturally friendly, and has significant payback potential following a low cost, rapid deployment.

DSL Rings presents telcos that already have significant investment in copper, with a real alternative to installing fibre. It is possible with DSL Rings, for fixed line telcos to realise a tangible return on investment within two years.
