CHENNAI,INDIA: Gemini Communication Ltd (GCL) today reported a net profit of Rs 8.06 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007, up 76 per cent Year on Year.
The company’s revenue grew by 17 per cent to Rs 52.91 crore.
"We continue to maintain our growth momentum as we enter 2008. Third quarter is traditionally a moderate quarter due to holiday season but this quarter we saw lot of activity. GCL bagged two major deals and our revenue growth was 17 per cent YoY. We were able to maintain robust growth and our fundamentals for 2008 remain very strong," said Vijay Kumar, chairman and MD, Gemini Communications Ltd.
During the quarter GCL partnered with Midas Communication Technologies Pvt Ltd for the Rs 200 crore BSNL order and also signed up with UniverCell Telecommunications to provide total IT infrastructure services.
