GE & Spares launches Crestron’s single button control system

& Spares unveiled a control system by Crestron in India. It is a

system specially designed to integrate the audio, video and other

environmental systems and can be controlled by a single button. The system

is designed and manufactured by Crestron Electronics Inc, a company based

in New Jersey. GE is the authorized systems integrator and service center

for Crestron in India.

The product comes in the form of a single

touch panel or button panel, which can activate the electronic equipment,

integrated into the system. The technology used is CNX, the latest in the

Ethernet compatible control systems. From the touch panel, control of any

electronic system works with the help of wired as well as wireless

integrated remote touch screens. Computers to curtains can be integrated

into a Crestron's touch panel.

Development Abhimanyu Gupta, "In case of board room presentations,

where the simultaneous use of audio, video, and computer is required, at

the touch of a button the presentation screen lowers, the audio and video

lighting levels are set, the computer gets activated, the curtains close,

the air-conditioning starts."

The range includes pre-programmed 90-button

remote to 10-inch touch screen remote panels. The hardware used for

integration includes the main processor, cables, cards, batteries, etc.

The software includes 'Visiontools PRO', the tool for designing touch

screens and the 'Simpl+' programming language for integrating the

different devices.

This product covers the entire spectrum of

communication needs such as corporate boardrooms, training centers, video

teleconferencing, distance learning applications. The product is targeted

at premium corporate houses, business establishments, educational

institutes and residences that are looking at the convenience of using

electronic equipment. The pricing depends on the kind of integration

required.
