GCL bags order for installation of BSNL CDMA cell sites

MUMBAI, INDIA: Gemini Communication Ltd. (GCL), an Indian networking company has bagged a contract worth Rs. 10 Cr from BSNL for installation and commissioning of telecom equipments and their connected accessories across 11 circles in India.

These 11 circles include Andaman and Nicobar, Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Kerala. The CDMA deployment will substantially enhance connectivity and clarity across India for BSNL subscribers.

Ram Kumar, executive director, GCL said, “GCL is expanding its service area into cellular communication from the hitherto stronghold of broadband access networks with this contract. GCL will deploy skilled manpower, installation tools, aids and measuring instruments, gauges in each of the 11 circles for expediting the work.”

The installation and commissioning includes acceptance testing of telecom WLL CDMA 2000 in MSC/BSC/BTS/ Repeater equipments and their connected accessories.
